I cannot wait till the new Star Trek comes out! I don't care too much for Smallville and I have recently found out that Superman Returns needs to return to the trash bin. It hurt to see that movie.
i'm not saying i loved superman returns but i enjoyed it a lot. i thought brandon routh kicked pants as clark and as superman. my biggest complaint is that they should have gotten erica durance to play lois in the movie. she's amazing in smallville.
The thing I didn't like was the fact that it was a re-write of the first superman movie pretty much. Also there was an incosistancy in the movie. In one of the past superman movies lex luthor tied kryptonite around his neck and threw him in a pool to drown. Now based on the new superman movie, it should have started turning into Kryptonian land with superman trapped in the center of it. Lois Lane could have been cast much better, and why did they only ask "does he still stand for truth and justice?" why did they omit "american way"? To be politiclly correct?
My opinion of this movie is the wish to erase it from my memory.
they actually made this movie as a 'sequal' to the second film. which i wouldn't have done, but in a way they were trying to reboot the original series. it wasn't kryptonite that he used to make the island. it was the crystal used to make the fortress of solitude. it just happened to be green. everything that's green isn't kryptonite. granted, in smallville they use a blue crystal instead, and maybe that's something they should have done for the movies. and they did take 'american way' out to be politically correct because they want superman to be available to all countries and not be elitist.
and you're the one who sticks up for stargate. soooooo...
